About
A family workshop, 15 years of built-to-order furniture
Who we are, why we build to your measurements, and how we like to work with you.
A family shop that makes the furniture itself
Hollow Oak Workshop is family-owned. For 15 years we have built dining tables, coffee tables, benches and bookshelves to order, one piece at a time.
We started from a simple frustration: most furniture is made for an average room that does not exist. It arrives in a size that almost fits, in particleboard that will not last. We would rather build the right piece once, in real wood.
That is why every project starts with your measurements and your room. You choose the wood, the finish and the extras, and we build it to that spec.
We also know that choosing custom furniture can feel like a lot. So we made the quote builder: a short, step-by-step way to understand your options and tell us what you want, before anyone has to pick up a phone.
How we like to work
- Solid wood, not particleboard
- Boards cut from real timber, joined to be repaired and refinished, not replaced.
- Your room sets the size
- We start from your measurements, so the piece fits the space instead of the other way around.
- Finish is part of the design
- We talk through how a finish looks and wears, and choose it with the use of the piece in mind.
- You see the options first
- The builder shows the choices plainly, so you arrive with a clear spec and fewer surprises.
Tell us what your room needs
Start with the quote builder, or send us a note if you would rather talk it through first.
